Looks like the winds are here to stay for the rest of the week with blasts of up to 70kph predicted for today, Tuesday.
The Met Office has issued a Yellow weather warning for winds in the Murcia region, including the North West region, which includes Calasparra.
Light snowfall is expected in areas over 1000 metres above sea level and temperatures are falling. A high of 14 centigrade is expected in Calasparrra today, almost 10 degrees less than the weekend.
The Met Office advises motorists not to park under trees; take in anything that could fly in the wind and cause damage to property or people, such as plant plots, window blinds and awnings; avoid passing near walls which could fall down and trees with branches which could break and fall.
Motorist are advised to cut down their speed when driving.
