Beware of a fraudulent email, ostensibly from the CAIXA Bank, informing of the necessity to install a new security system. This is a SCAM!!
The Consumers and Users Association of the Internet (CONSUMUR) warns the message « ‘Acción Requerida: Active el Nuevo Sistema de Seguridad Antes del 26/02/2024’ is part of a massive scam supposedly from the CAIXA Bank informing of the need to install a new security system in order to access their services.
The email actually comes from the email address cogeco@communications.cogeco.ca’ but features»Caixanow» as the sender.
This is a phishing fraud which aims to access your personal data. CONSUMUR advises extreme precaution and advises readers to verify a sender is authentic and the email actually corresponds with the alleged sender.
