After the driest summer for years the warnings of the State Met Office fall on deaf ears here in Calasparra as we await the precious rain!
The Met Office has extended the Yellow Weather Warning for storms and torrential rain but as yet Calasparra has not seen a single drop of water. While it rains all around us, with as much as 20 litres a square metre of rain falling in an hour, our fields and mountains are like a tinderbox.
As the clouds form over our area today the Met Office has extended the wet weather warning for the whole region of Murcia until 9pm tonight and there is a green weather warning in place for Friday for inclement weather.
We will have to wait and see!!!
