Calasparra hosted the National Spanish Cup for Promising White Water Slalom Canoeists and came away with two silver medals and a historic fifth place all round on the day with stunning results for the local Canoe Club.
Some 150 young caneoists from 22 clubs all over Spain took part in this amazing sporting event right on our doorsteps.
Among Calasparra´s results was young canoeist Jorge Cortés who took two silver medals in the Infant Category of Canoe and in kayak.
