The statue of Our Lady of Hope has been transferred to Calasparra for the duration of the month of May during a procession on foot from the Sanctuary yesterday, May 1.
Calle Socovos was decorated with a carpet of rosemary and petals were thrown from balconies as is the tradition when the procession passes on its way to central Calasparra.
There will be a full proramme of religious events, many in the open air, during May.
