Local Police have arrested a man in Calasparra for disturbing the peace, disobeying police officers and refusing to take a breathalyser test.
The arrest took place in the town centre after officers received a report that a man had abandoned his vehicle and was hitting street furniture and tables outside a cafe with an iron bar.
Officers arrived on the scene immediately and found the man attempting to escape in his vehicle. Two officers crossed infront of the vehicle, immobilized it and took away the iron bar.
Finally, the accused was arrested for an offence of drunk an disorderly, disobeying officers of the law and a refusal to take a breathalyser test.
He has appeared before magistrates.
