The penultimate bull run of this year´s fiestas proved dangerous for spectators and runners alike, as the bulls charged into the barriers and swept the route with their horns in search of bodies.
One bull trailed behind and on arriving at the bull ring attempted to return in the direction of the corrals. Only the quick, efficient work by the herdsmen avoided a perilous situation.
The bull run lasted a full our minutes but only one injury, bruising, was reported.
Unfortunately, one of the bulls was gored by another in the corral and was unable to take part in the bull run.
Tomorrow is the final run and, as a novelty, at 8am the bulls will be brought in from the fields around Monte San Miguel by herdsmen on horseback.
The bull run will be at 11am.
