PRECAUTIONS FOR THE VEREDA TOMORROW

The local police are warning spectators at tomorrow´s “Vereda” to take precautions, not to mount the barriers and to keep their distance in the Sierra del San Miguel.
The cows from the stockbroker, Royo Palacios, are already grazing in the fields of the  “Llano de la Traviesa”, in the Sierra del San Miguel, ready for the run into town, tomorrow, Saturday.
They will be brought into town to the corrals at the bottom of Calle Mayor by horses brought into Calasparra for the occasion.
The “vereda” starts at 8am and the animals are expected to reach Calle Ordeñez around 9.45am.
They will enter the route from the path alongside the Chapel of Rest and will pass in front of the Caverina Football Stadium. Barriers will be erected along the route but mounting the barriers is prohibited on safety grounds. All cars must also be removed from this part of the run.
A Civil Protection vehicles will precede the animals announcing their arrival.
The traditional bull run will be at 11am, an hour later than usual.
