Nexonr reported last week that the local police and the Guardia Civil had arrested a gang responsible for a spate of burglaries in rural properties in Calasparra, however, it seems there is another gang at large locally.
A reader informs us that the owner of a rural property left his house for just two hours a day last week and returned to find the window bars forced off, his wall safe broken into and the house ransacked.
Earlier this year a holiday home in Calasparra was illegally occupied while the owner was in the UK.
The local police and Guardia Civil in Calasparra have repeatedly advised owners of rural properties in our area to install alarms systems which are connected to the police station as extra protecion against burglaries or illegal occupation.
