An exhibition of photographs paying homage to villages submerged in water during the 1940’s and 70’s is currently open to the public in Calasparra.
“España Sumergida” is the result of three years work by Gabriel Muñoz who has photographed these lost villages during the periods of the year when the water recedes sufficiently for traces of civilization to be visible.
The exhibition is open from February 16 to March 3 at the Sala del Comendador and will be officially opened at 8.30pm on Saturday.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday 11am to 2pm and on Saturdays 11.30am to 1.30pm.
