Overwhelmed by kittens from the various cat colonies living on the streets of Calasparra or simply abandoned, voluntary asociation and pressure group, Cat Friendly, is appealing for a basement or land with a house, lent or rented, which could act as a temporary refuge.
Spring has delivered more than 30 kittens into the care of the Association with more appearing almost daily. This voluntary association is completelñy overhelmed pending the establishment of a Municipal Centre for Pets, delayed for months due to permits and legal paperwork.
It is a desperate situation and Cat Friendly seeks a temporary refuge for these kittens, many of which were dumped in rubbish containers without their mother, and, without the intervention of Cat Friendly, would not have survived.
More than 30 kittens are currently being cared for by volunteers in their homes, and the Association is appealing for anyone who can lend or rent a building, basement or house on land, which could act as a temporary refuge and/or adopt any of the kittens-
