The regional government of Murcia has proposed investing 30.4 million euros of the annual budget to cut the waiting lists in primary care, specialists and operations in the public health system.
The investment would include 1,750 million to improve working conditions and improving job security; 8,000 new jobs in the health service next year; 336.5 milliion to improve primary care and reduce waiting lists and the creation of 147 new jobs; 123 posts for family docotors and pediatricians; and 80 million for mental health including the creation of 79 new jobs.
The proposal is included in this year´s proposed budget and has to be approved by a majority of the regional government.
The governing Partido Popular Party depends on the right wing party, Vox, for their working majority in the government.
