OMBUDSMAN FOR DEFENCE OF FINANCIAL CLIENTS

The Government has created the «Autoridad de Defensa del Cliente Financiero», to significantly reinforce the protection of clients and to compliment the complaints system (reclamaciones) within the finiancial sector.
This new service is similar to the Ombudsman service in the UK and is completely free of charge.
The service will work like this:
Users can present complaints (reclamaciones) completely free of charge to this unique organization and the complaint will be dealt with within 90 days.
Financial inclusion and personalized attention is guaranteed, especially for elderly people and vulnerable groups.
The type of entities which may be subject to complaint is expanded and will includes supervised entities; fintech; criptoactions; and loans plus the type of complaints that may or may not contain an economic element.

Resolutions will  be obligatory and must be complied with by the financial entitity.

Editors Note
For those of you who are not familiar with the Ombudsman Service in the UK it is completely disinterested and will resolve complaints that fall within its ambit. ie. Ombudsman for insurance: for banking etc.
Although, it will be necessary to make your complaint in Spanish, tis is a consumer service and thus it will not be necessary to use a solicitor but simply someone who can translate your complaint into Spanish.
