The Central European Bank has issued the new European 10 euro note and it passes into legal currency from today, Tuesday.
Here is a photo of the new note to help you recognise it. However, it is similar to the new European five euro note which came into circulation in May this year.
The introduction of the new notes is intended to make it more difficult to counterfeit the euro and pass false notes as every member country of the EU will use the same design of five and ten euro notes.
