The Mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navaroo, has criticised the new law on local administrations as an attack on democracy and a process of “privatizating and dismantling” of local services.
The law, which was published in the offical Government bulletin BOE yesterday, is, according to the Mayor, “a hard blow for all the Spanish local administrations and especially for those in the Murcia region.”
Under the new law many local services will be administered and funded at regional level.
