The regional Health Authority has reported a 42 percent rise in positive tests for Covid-19 in the region over the last week.
On Saturday there were 393 confirmed cases of the virus in the region and, sadly, a man aged 70 years died of Covid-19.
Yesterday, there were 160 confirmed cases but no deaths were recorded from the virus.
Statistics over weekends and fiesta days are likely to be artificially low due to less tests being carried out.
