Flu jobs will be available from Monday, October 22, at the Health Centre of Calasparra and anyone over 60 years old is in the priority group.
Also in the priority group for vaccinations are the chronically ill, health service workers and members of the essential services such as the fire service and the police.
For people under 60 years of old the vaccination is recommended if the patient has a condition or circumstance which makes them vulnerable. In these cases the vaccination will be given on the recommendation of their GP.
The vaccination if effective against all types of flu including Type A.
Members of the priority group can make an appointment for the flub jab at the reception of the Health Centre. Other patients must make an appointment to see their GP. The vaccinations will be given in Sala 1 between 9.30 and 10.30am Monday to Friday.
Last year 1,800 of the 2,200 people in the target group were vaccinated: one of the highest percentages North West Murcia.
