The first organised walk on the municipal walking calendar for summer/autumn 2014 takes us out of Calasparra in the series “Getting to Know the Region.”
On Sunday May 11 there will be a 12k walk, graded as medium difficult, from the Cola Blanco to the Puntas de Calnegre at Águilas. The price of 20€ includes transport and lunch. Leaves the Cafeteria Joyman at 8am: Book at the Tourist Office.
The second walk on June 2 is a walk around the Paddy Fields taking in a visit to the Arab ruins at Villa Vieja and the Rice Musuem. Leaves the Plaza de la Corredera at 9am and is graded as easy.
New routes this year includes a Nocturnal Medieval Route taking in the Old Town and the Castle on June 7; a walk to Cañaverosa and another to the Almadenes Canyon taking in the “Casa de la Maestra” (the Teacher´s House).
