There will be a series of events to mark the official opening of the recently restored parish rooms, partly funded by local contributions.
The progress of the 141,000 euro restoration is the subject of an exhibition in the Casa de la Cultura, featuring photographs and plans.
The parish priest of Calasparra, José Manuel Martínez Rosique, was accompanied by the architect, María Eulalia Salinas Miranda, and technical architect, Juan Isidro Ros Espín, who described the details of the restoration.
According to the priest “The town has been involved in this restoration work, in that there have been large donations from prívate citizens and money from fund raising events and public initiatives.”
