The regional Department of Health are calling for «a sense of responsibility» amongst residents who have abandoned wearing masks as the contagion rate in the vulnerable group, over 60´s, increases by 50% in a week.
The Department of Health have announced a contagion rate per 100,000 head of population of 958.5 in the last 14 days and 576.7 in the last seven days.
Although masks are no longer compulsary residents are being urged to be responsible in crowded areas and in places, such as health centres, hospitals, public transport, where masks are still necessary.
There were 194 new cases diagnosed over the past 24 hours in the Murcia region.
Hospital admissions for Covid stand at 207, of which there are nine patients in intensive care.
Sadly, three women ages 77, 78 and 92 years have died of the virus.
