Calasparra was transformed into a scene of fiesta and colour for the Grand Night of the Carnival in Calasparra on Saturday.
The town centre was filled with imagination and lots of fun right through until the early hours of the morning with a record participation of groups, mini groupos and individuals taking part in the fancy dress parade and competition and, as always in Calasparra, pushing their imagination to the limits.

The effort made to produce beautiful, incredible and, sometimes, completely mad costumes for the Carnival represents months of work, illusion and talent to produce a night of magic and fantasy.
Once again the Carnival in Calasparra has surpassed all expectations making it one of the most important cultural events on the calendar and a reference in the region.
