The Schools Carnival Parade was brought forward on Saturday afternoon in order to avoid the rain predicted for the area.
The teachers and pupils pulled out all the stops with stupendous costumes, music and spectacular dance routines.
All the schools, including the local Nursery, took part in multicoloured parade breaking records for the number of participants again this year at 1.500.
