The Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, has led a delegation that attended a celebration of 25 years of twinning Calasparra with Riorges, in France.
During the celebration the activities, meetings and student exchanges during the 25 years of twinning were underlined.
The Mayoress of Calasparra said:»From the first year we have managed to organise annually a meeting of young people, sporting associations and cultural groups with days of intense activity, meetings, visits and moments of shared leisure».
At the end of the ceremony the Mayor of Riorges and the Mayoress of Calasparra planted an olive tree to mark 25 years of friendship between the two towns.
