An appeal lodged by the regional Official College of Architects Calasparra Town Hall against draft procedure specifications connected to the restoration of the old Bull Ring, has been rejected by the the Administrative Centre of Resources Tribunal, so giving the green light for the project.
The Town Hall purchased the Caverina Bull Ring in January with the aim of providing a multi-cultural space, revitalize the property and convert it into a central meeting point for the town.
The Caverina has a a rich history and significance for Calasparra. It will be rehabilitated to a capacity of over 2.500 and will comply with the norms applicable to public spectacles and taurean regulations.
Calasparra Town Hall has announced that this represents a signficant step towards the preservation of the patrimony and cultural legacy of the Caverina Bull Ring. Once the restoration is complete the Town Hall considers the multi functional space created will count on the active participation of the whole population of Calasparra.
