Next weekend Calasparra will celebrate its famous rice with touristic, gastronomic, cultural and sporting events, which will form part of the second edition of the Gastronomic Days of Calasparra Rice.
The head of local Tourism, Débora Cassinello, and the Head of local Commerce, Mari Carmen Carmona, joined the President of the DOP Arroz of Calasparra, José Martínez, to officially present the programme.
During the weekend of October 28 to 30 various activities have been programmed to coincide with the International Day of Rice on October 31.

During the weekend there will be Special Menus available in local bars and restaurants with Gastrotapas featuring Calasparra rice and gourmet sweets.
On Saturday October 29 the children of Calasparra are invited to the Youth Centre to take part in «Little Chefs». There are three age groups and the day begins at 9am.
At 12 midday on Saturday in the Cupola freelance chef, Javier Ruiz Sevilla will host Showcooking.
Later at 6pm there will be a free concert in Cine Rosales with cover bands led by Diego Martin.
On Sunday October 30 there will be an edition of Folklore featuring the Rondalla and the choir from Apostol al Santiago de la Ribera.
