The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment has approved a total investment of 52,802,113 euros for work to modernize and consolidate the irrigation systems in the Murcia region including 11 million euros for Calasparra.
This state investment was confirmed on November 30 by the Ministry, which also approved the criteria for the promotion, tenders for the contract and the exploitation of the work as in the “general interest” of the public.
Work on the modernization in Calasparra could start this year, 2013.
