Despite freezing temperatures and predictions for snow the ecological vegetable stall on Calasparra´s weekly market this Friday outside the main gates of Cine Rosales will offer freshly picked winter produce to help keep the cold at bay.
This season´s best sellers are swede, Swiss Chard and Spinach which disappear like snow in the sun. Also on offer is crisp, pungent celery, lovely white leeks, broccoli, pumpkin, cabbage, small pink radishes and a limited supply of Brussels sprouts and Brussels tops.
The stall has been opening slightly earlier than 10am lately so readers are advised to shop early to avoid disappointment.
