The Segura Water Board (CHS) has begun an investigation at various points of the Albujon watercourse which has a final destination into the Mar Menor, for possible illegal spillages.
At the beginning of this month the CHS installed 14 stations of automatic alert in order to identify illegal spillages which contaminate superficial and subterrean water in the Segura basin, and five additional stations in the mouth of the El Albujon watercourse, to monitor the water with a final destination at the Mar Menor. These also monitor subterrean water under the Alfonso XIII reservoir, the river Quipar and the river Argos in Calasparra.
The CHS has announced it would appreciate the cooperation of local residents in order to stop the spillages.
