A containing wall fell on top of a worker, trapping his legs, at the Sewerage Plant in Calasparra yesterday.
Due to the size of the wall initial indications were that the 32 year-old worker had sustained very serious injuries as a result of being trapped under the debris. However, fortunately his injuries were less serious than first suspected.
The fire brigade were called to the scene at 3.50pm yesterday and worked to free the worker, identified with initials R.P.A. He was transferred to hospital by ambulance.
