Three men were injured in a shooting incident in Esparragal Alto, Calasparra, yesterday, in a dispute over stolen marijuana plants.
The Guardia Civil arrested a man who allegedly fired a shotgun at three men outside his home. According to local sources the three men accused the arrested man of stealing their marijuana plants.
The incident occurred at 5.50pm in the calle Esparragal Alto when three people approached the the home of the alleged attacker demanding explanations for theft of marijuana plants. At the time the individual concerned took out a shotgun and fired at the ground. One of the bullets wounded the foot of one of the three men and the other two received minor injuries.
The man with the injured foot was taken to Caravaca hospital for an operation.
The alleged shooter was found a couple of hours later by the Guardia Civil. He was arrested and charged for the ilegal possession of firearms.
