The Merced Church in central Calasparra is keeping to local tradition with a model nativity that features 500 figures.
The model is on display at the Merced Church from Monday to Sunday from 6 to 8pm and 11am to 1pm on Fridays.
Property of the family of the current priest of Calasparra, José Manuel Martínez Rosique, it has 500 figures, some mobiles, principally of artisans of the region.
On Sunday the priest officially opened and blessed the nativity scene which will be on display until January 6.
