A new boost for ecological agriculture in Calasparra as the area is chosen for trials of a variety of Japonese plums that matures early, has high yeilds, offers quality fruit and a resistance to the virus “Sharka.”
The Director General of the Agrofood and AgroCapacity, Ángel García Lidón, said «the trials carried out so far have optimized the technical protocols for improving the class of plums and has produced various “families” with a view to obtaining new varieties.”
