Calasparra Town Hall has announced a
second series of extraordinary fiscal, economic and social measures to alleviate
hardship under the State of Alarm.
The local government team have reacted in the face of circumstances caused by
the Covid-19 epidemic and taken into account the serious economic damage
provoked by the health crisis.
These measures aim to minimize the economic hardships experienced by businesses
and residents in Calasparra.
The creation of a Food Bank for vulnerable families with insufficient funds to
buy basic necessities.
Allocatation of 20,000 euros for
families with insufficient funds (unemployed, pensioners, large families) to
defray 75% of housing costs on main home.
Extend the period of voluntary payment for vehicle tax (IVTM) until October 20
without interest.
Extend voluntary period to pay IBI until December 1, 2020 and to facilitate
payments in five instalments without interest from any date until December 1
2020.
Suspend embargos on current accounts until after the State of Alarm.
Employ over 50,000 euros, supplied by central government, for economic support
for families; emergency food supplies; domestic bills; home support etc.
Allocate 43,800 euros of municipal funds to social support.
Suspend municipal fees for café and restaurant terraces and work on the public
highways.
100% relief of fees for rubbish collection (April/May and May/June) for
businesses affected by the health crisis.
100% relief from fees for ICIO, minor works and repairs licences.
100% relief on water bills (April/May and May/June).
Plan to revitalize local commerce.
Guarantee payment of suppliers to the Town Hall within 15 days of invoicing.

Distribute educational material to every school through the Civil Protection
Work on new measures to alleviate the effects of the crisis with associations
and sectors in the town.
