International Workers’ Day is a national fiesta in Spain so expect shops and services to be closed but bars and restaurants are normally open.
This year the fiesta is tomorrow Thursday,May 1. Unlike the UK Spain celebrates International Workers Day on May 1, however, in the UK it is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month of May.
As the fiestas falls on a Thursdy it is probable many people will take a «puente» (bridge) taking Frdiay off thus making a long weekend.
As far as we know the weekly market will be held on Friday s usual.
