The premier of a series of documentary films featuring the
unknown natural treasures of the region of Murcia, including the Puerta Cave, is at the Regional Filmoteca, Murcia, at 8pm tonight.
The series has been produced by 10 Murcian directors, with music by Murcian composer, Pedro Contreras, and is aimed at publicising the hidden natural jewels of the region.
The 10, 10 minute films have been filmed in high definition and advanced focus techiques. In the films professors and their students discover the geological origins of numerous floral thermals and the beauty of the Puerta Cave.
The series also includes la Panocha in the Cresta de Gallo, Murcia: a famous rock climbing site; a selection of monumental trees; and some of the most picturesque stretches of the River Segura.
The local Town Hall is planning to show the film series in Calasparra.
