Approval of the municipal budget is the main business for the extraordinary session of the Town Hall local government called for this evening.
The special sesión will be in the Sala de Actos at 8pm and the only items on the agenda are the General Accounts for 2012 and the General Budget for 2013.
Last year Ricardo Garcia of the United Left, who has the single casting vote, voted against the municipal budget because it was presented in October instead of during the first three months of the year. Thus last year´s municipal budget remains without definitive approval.
This year the ruling PSOE party presented the budget within the first three months and it was passed due to the IU casting vote. The PP voted against it.
This evening the ruling PSOE are seeking final definitive approval of the budget for 2013.
