Flag´s at half mast, a minute´s silence and 80 candles for the 80 fatalities in Wednesday´s train crash in Santiago as Calasparra joined the first day of national mourning.
Two extra candles were lit for two local residents who have died in the last few days.
The flags at the Town Hall will continue at half mast for the three days of national mourning announced by the Government yesterday.
There are some 140 other victims of the crash who are fighting for their lives in hospital and it is feared the death toll in this, the worst rail crash in Spain for 40 years, could rise.
