All the money collected from the blue parking zones in Calasparra during 2018 will go to Cancer Research, the Mayor of Calasparra, José Vélez has announced.
The funds will go to the Association Against Cancer (la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer) and the Investigation Group into Cancer at the Hospital Morales Meseguer: both charities supported by the local collective, “Calasparra se Mueve,” which incorporates local charities and associations which have been working over many years to raise funds for cancer research.
“The blue parking zone will become the pìnk zone,” says the Mayor.
“We can´t stay with our arms crossed,” he commented, outlining the important developments in cancer research and the dedication of the professionals, and adding:
“There is still a long way to go.”
So please remember the next time you park in Calasparra, if you park in a blue zone and pay at the meter, you will be making a contribution to cancer research.
