The local police have the temporary use of a special high speed road traffic vehicle with equipment to measure the blood alcohol limit and detect drivers who have taken drugs.
The vehicle is available to municipal areas within the North East Murcia region on a rota basis.
According to the Head of Citizen Security at the Town Hall, José Vélez, the new vehicle serves to “dissuade and prevent infractions and raise awareness of the need to observe the road traffic rules for the security of everyone on the roads.”
