The statue of Our Lady of Hope has been brought from the local Sanctuary to St Peter´s Church for the annual pilgrimage and Month of Flowers.
Under normal circumstances the statue is brought in a procession across the hills to Calasparra. On arrival rose petals are thrown from balconies and the two statues of the local patron saints of Calasparra, Abdon and Senen, are brought to reunite with the statue. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic the celebrations this year have been low key.

May is called the Month of Flowers in Calasparra due to the floral donations traditionally made at the masses.
