SORRY IF YOU MISSED US, WE SOLD OUT BY MIDDAY!

The first ecological vegetable stall, run by the small local project SALDI, trading under the name “El Ecológico,” ran out of produce to sell by midday on its debut at Calasparra market last Friday.
A wide variety of freshly picked vegetables were snapped up by early morning shoppers and latecomers were left disappointed. The stall offered lettuces, potatoes, onions, marrows, aubergines, spring onions, green peppers, plum and salad tomatoes, leeks, carrots, beetroot and courgettes.
During the morning Calasparra television dropped by to interview Salvador, the manager of the project and co-editor of the NEXOnr webpage, and talk to him about the benefits and advantages of vegetables grown with just sun and water. On Thursday he was interviewed by Radio Calasparra .
SALDI will run the stall, located outside the gates of Cine Rosales, every Friday and offers vegetables and fruit of the season freshly picked from the project’s garden. Now in its second year the project, SALDI, has an ecological certificate issued by the department of agriculture.
