SERAFIN ZUBIRI TRIUMPHS IN END OF FIESTA CONCERT

Paying an emotional tribute to one of Spain´s finest, Nino Bravo, who died at 28 years in a tragic car accident, Serafin Zubiri,  sang and a crammed Cine Rosales  gave him a standing ovation.
Spain was deprived of Nino Bravo in 1973 when  he had recorded just four albums and another which was released posthumously. The songs he wrote have become standards nationally, not only for their quality but also for his courage writing songs such as «Libre» (Free) during the strict censorship and oppression of the Franco years.
Accompanied by the Calasparra Band of Music the tremendous rendition of Un Beso y una Flor, Noelia and Cartas Amararillas by Serafin Zubirir and the audience alike brought the spectators to their feet at the end of the concert and demanding an encore.
It was almost midnight when the concert finally finished but the audience seemed reluctant to go home hanging on for a last glimpse of the singer as he posed for photos with the conductor and the members of the Calasparra Band of Music.
This concert will go down in the history of Calasparra as one of the greats!!!
