This weekend, November 25 and 26, local and national experts will meet at the Puerto Cave, Calasparra for the XXIX Science Days of the Spanish Potholing Society and Karts Scientists.
The “science days” are concentrated on caves in the Murcia region, the characteristics and formation of which were a mystery up to a few years ago.
The meeting inside the Puerto Cave, is open to the public and will include a guided tour of both the Puerto Cave and Cueva de la Serrata.
Experts will present the results of their investigations, including studies of the animal life and the effects of climate change.
The days are organized with the collaboration of the regional government, the town halls of Calasparra, Cieza and Pliego and the local tourism company, Qalat.
