SCAM WARNING FOR BBVA CUSTOMERS

Customers of the BBVA Bank are being warned of a phishing scam: a massive amount of false emails sent asking for personal and banking data.
The warning comes from Murcian consumer and users association, Consumur.
In the emails customers are advised of a “new security system” and are asked for data which would allow the fraudsters to access their bank accounts.
These emails are a scam and customers are advised not to open them or any other email from BBVA which appears suspicious.
Readers are advised that banks NEVER ask for personal or banking details in a general email and any email purporting to do so is likely to be a fraud.
