The company, DISFRIMUR, are planting 7,oooo Carrasco pines in the area of the Sierra del Molino, devastated by forest fires in 2010, at a cost of 62,000 euros.
Disfrimur, a goods transport company, began the work yesterday to replant 6.29 hectares of the la Sierra del Molino. The work of replanting and maintaining the area, undertaken by the company, is likely to take a maximum of five months.
The Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, visited the project with the President of the regional government of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, the Director General of DISFRIMUR, Juan Jesús Sánchez, and members of the local government team.

This project falls within the Invisible Transport Project, in which participating companies measure the environmental impact of their activities, and aims to neutralize CO2 emissions by 2040.
The areas classified for recuperation have been subject of forest fires and are included in the Red Natura 2000 LIC and Zepa zones, for the Special Protection of birds, such as the Royal Owl and the peregrine falcon amongst others.
The company will maintain the area for five years and will replant trees that have not survived the first year.
DISFRIMU has assumed the entire cost of the project as compensation for its carbon footprint.
