Monday morning brought a breath of fresh air after another suffocating, sleepless night thanks to the wave of hot air that has been blowing across Calasparra for the past week bringing temperatures in the mid 40’s.
Thankfully, according to the Met Office, the temperatures will remain lower this week, hovering around 35 degrees centigrade, and the hot winds from the Sahara will no longer waft across the region stifling everything and everyone in their way.
Although the region is still subject to a weather warning for extreme temperatures the alert has been reduced from “orange” to “yellow:” a grade below and highs will not exceed 35 degrees.
