The Communidad of Murcia has announced a 7.2 million
euro investment in Calasparra which will guarantee 220 jobs.
The funds will facilitate a conserve canning plant to transfer production to
new premises of 160,000 square meters on the same site thus guaranteeing 220
jobs.
“This has been possible thanks to an instrument which, in exceptional cases,
permits the regional executive to favour business activity and the creation of
employment,” explained Jose Ramon Diez de Revenga, Head of the regional Department
pf Promotion and Infrastructure.
He confirmed that the funds had been granted for the expansion of this company through
“exceptional authorization in the public interest.”
