The Mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez, declared he was “emotional but satisfied” with this year´s bull runs, which had “no negative side.”
In fact, the sixth and final bull run of 2019, the fastest this week and with a multitude of runners and spectators, finished without incident or injury to the animals or humans.
Today, Sunday, the fiesta is dedicated to the Patron of Calasparra, Our Lady of Hope from the Sanctuary.
The Mayor went on to thank everyone who had participated in this year´s fiestas.
Once again Calasparra was crammed with spectators and visitors rendering parking practically impossible and leaving late comers with no chance of viewing the bull run.
Tonight the 60´s pop duet, Due Dinamico, will be the last act of these fiestas until the same time next year and Calasparra will return to normal.
