The Mayor of Calasparra has appealed to any members of the public who may have information leading to the identification of the arsonist who set the fire which burned 15 hectares of the Sierra de San Miguel yesterday evening.
While an investigation has started the Mayor has appealed to anyone who was in the area at the time of the fire who may have seen something suspicious: vehicles, people, anything, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to contact the local police on 694 44 22 00.
The fire started art 7.30pm yesterday, Friday, in various parts of the Sierra de San Miguel.
Walkers in the area have already reported they heard a small, explosion.
