Sales of second hand homes fell by 13.9% and sales of new homes by 22.7% in the region of Murcia during the month of May compared to the same month the previous year, according to the National Statistics Institute.
Some 1,114 houses were sold during May in the region, 514 new homes and 600 second hand. Nationally 30,797 houses were sold representing a fall of some 18.3% for the same month in 2010 but a slight improvement on the previous month with the property market growing by 27.7%.
